Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and website. By placing an order with MerseyPrint, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

2. Artwork, Colour & Proof Liability

IMPORTANT: Please read this section carefully before submitting your artwork.

  • Colour Accuracy: MerseyPrint accepts no liability for colour variations between your screen display and the final printed product. Screens display colours in RGB format, while print uses CMYK. We strongly recommend converting all artwork to CMYK before submission. We will not reprint or refund orders where colour differences arise from customer-supplied artwork.
  • Customer-Supplied Artwork: When you supply your own artwork, you take full responsibility for its content, accuracy, and print-readiness. MerseyPrint will not be held liable for any errors, including spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, incorrect information, low resolution, or incorrect colour profiles contained within customer-supplied files.
  • Proofed Artwork: Once a proof has been approved by the customer (whether digitally or verbally), MerseyPrint accepts no liability for any errors that appear in the final printed product. This includes but is not limited to spelling mistakes, colour inaccuracies, incorrect sizing, or layout issues. The customer's approval of a proof constitutes acceptance of full responsibility for the content.
  • No Free Reprints: MerseyPrint will not provide free reprints or refunds for jobs where errors were present in customer-approved artwork or customer-supplied files. If a reprint is required due to customer error, it will be charged at full price.
  • Our Errors: In the unlikely event that an error was made by MerseyPrint and is not reflected in the approved proof or supplied artwork, we will reprint the job at no cost to the customer.

3. Artwork Specifications

  • All artwork must be supplied at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI at the final print size.
  • Files should be supplied as PDF, AI, EPS, or high-resolution TIFF/JPEG.
  • All fonts must be embedded or outlined to avoid substitution.
  • Please include a minimum of 3mm bleed on all sides unless otherwise specified.
  • Artwork supplied in RGB will be converted to CMYK during the print process, which may result in colour shifts.
  • MerseyPrint reserves the right to refuse artwork that does not meet our technical specifications.

4. Orders & Payment

  • All orders must be paid for in full before production commences, unless a credit account has been agreed in writing.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice. The price displayed at the time of ordering will be honoured.
  • VAT will be applied to all applicable goods and services at the prevailing rate.
  • Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

5. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times quoted are estimates only and are not guaranteed. MerseyPrint will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused by delays in production or delivery. Turnaround times begin only once payment has been received and print-ready artwork has been approved.

6. Delivery

  • Risk in goods passes to the customer upon delivery.
  • MerseyPrint will not be held responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit once they have been handed to a courier.
  • Any claims for damaged or missing goods must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

7. Intellectual Property

By submitting artwork, you confirm that you own or have the legal right to use all images, logos, fonts, and content within the files. MerseyPrint accepts no responsibility for any intellectual property infringement resulting from customer-supplied artwork.

8. Limitation of Liability

MerseyPrint's total liability to any customer shall not exceed the value of the order placed. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profit or business opportunity.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
